Okay … so this all started a few days after April got married. She called and told me how much she loved the wedding and all the photos but that she wanted some more photos of just her in the dress. I am thinking in my head “What? Huh? You didn’t love what we did on the wedding day?” So very carefully I begin to voice it and ask her if she liked what we did on the wedding day and to ask her about more of what she is looking for … I then realize that we haven’t even posted her wedding yet so she can’t be disappointed with her photos … she hasn’t even seen them! She sounded disappointed and said, “Matt I don’t know why you aren’t more excited about this? I want to do an after the wedding shoot with me and my dress!”. Then it clicked … she wanted a Getting Dirty Session WITHOUT her groom. HELLO MATT? Anyway … once I calmed down a bit I started getting excited … so we planned it and here is what happened on the day of:
So we just went and started shooting. Along the way we encountered, or simply scared the SOMETHING out of this man. He went from being scared to asking April to marry him … to being angry and driving off quickly. He was sleeping on the side of the highway in his truck and from the sounds of it he should have slept another day or so. Sadly he took off. Lets hope he made it home with out hurting anyone. Too bad cell phones were out of range. We have shot this location before but without a Bride. We have done families and seniors and when April gave me a free ticket I went with it. I wanted to end in the River so we moved on it … but WOW … COLD … BURRRR … Seriously the wind and misty air wasn’t enough. The river was down right freezing. Yes I am being a little dramatic but seriously you go try it. Once your feet go numb then no big deal. April was tough and braved it all … she is one tough nurse. He was like a little kid who had just been told he could live in Disneyland! Matt and I had such a blast with Jeff and Heather on their dirty session and got some really fun shots. These two loved playing around with eachother for our two hour session.
