Matthew and Christine …

The story is really good. I hope they don’t mind if I share but on first meeting Matthew and Christine they told me how it happened. It was high school band … he was a few years younger ;) and she was dating someone else. Matthew moved in and in perfect GQ style won her over. Now years later they graced my lens and are taking vows and tying knots. We had a fun shoot … Matthew knows he is good looking and Christine isn’t sure whether to feed it or adore it. :D I think its great either way and of course she adores him. Here are just a few shots …

Thanks for a great shoot! My assistant loves you both. :) She may need a little warming up to Matthew but his charm doesn’t take long to cause sparks. ;)

Jay, Mayra, and a little fire …

Jay and Mayra have a couple of things going on. I wish I knew what they are … they just kept smiling and loving the time they had together. :) I kept saying … “hey, you two lets head that way :) ” Fire is definitely part of their fun when they are together. :) We had about 15 minutes and zero stress to grab a few shots. Here are a couple.

I particularly liked this last shot. It tells so much of a story … perhaps you had to be there but I doubt it. :) The love is happening in this image and they are both totally cool with whenever it happens. The day dawn is breaking … see you love birds soon. Tweet tweet. :)

Appreciation and Testimonials page added to the blog …

I have added an Appreciation and Testimonials page to the blog. You can click this link or view it the the Pages section at the top of the blog on the right hand side. It’s a bit of an experiment as I am unsure of the best way to do this. :) I wanted to document the many emails, text messages, voice messages and comments through coversation that Jared and I, and the rest of the team get from others. I can’t promise it will be comprehensive both in the past or future. But we will post to the page as we get them, and share the excitment as others share with us.

Sam, Shelley, and red dirt …

I was sitting with my wife the other day, and I was holding my son Lane … and she pulled out some baby wipes (we have two kids you know :) ) and started wiping red dirt off my shoes. (Isn’t she a sweet heart!) I really couldn’t recall how I had so much dirt on my shoes. Then I remembered … it was Sam and Shelley. THEY DID IT! Well sort of … we met them in the beautiful Papago park area for the pre-wedding shoot. Shelley was adorable as ever and quickly offered hugs. Sam … well lets just say that he was very chipper as well, no hugs though! :D The last time, which I think was also the first time, I met Sam was at Xtreme Bean to look over the contract and have them sign. The problem though was that it was 7 am if I recall correctly. :) He was on the sleepy side of life that morning. This shoot offered a side of him I hadn’t seen. Shelley just may be getting someone to keep up with her spunk and smile. Well … he can at least try. :)

So there was a sneak peak … I know Shelley is dying to see more … :) … they’re coming! Thanks again Shelley and Sam … that was a blast. See you soon!

The day arrived for Don and Marinice …

Don and Marinice were beaming with excitement. The bride and groom session went smashingly well with gorgeous light and another beautiful sunset. Don and Marinice made comfortable with the cameras quickly and just as quickly forgot about us. :) I think Don is still mesmerized by Marinice’s soothing accent. :) Thank you both for letting us in on the fun.

And just one quick pic of a sweet moment from the reception. Awwwwh! :)

Just FYI – Jared and I covered this event. However Kendra was a part of the B&G session and she took that last silhouette shot in fact!
