Landscapes and eHarmony

I find landscapes peaceful. A good landscape should evoke a feeling of reverence in the viewer. I think landscapes should usually involve people … I see a landscape and wonder how I can tell a story or evoke more emotion in the viewer by adding subjects … a harmony of man and nature. I am stretching for correlation though this is my thought process … Todd and Tricia met on eHarmony (see Wikipedia for an excellent explanation of eHarmony’s goals – I was impressed.) Back to the point … when I was out on their shoot I kept seeing these beautiful scenes and just had fun playing with them in them. Hope you enjoy …

This last shot doesn’t so much involve a landscape as I thought it was a great comfortable shot of the two of them … though I must admit … leaning back on stairs isn’t comfy … they look great! :D

Spontaneity …

Ryan and Celia just have fun together. You can see it. Look …

So yes … fun. Sorry for the brevity … it’s late. :)

A rainy day

We love the rain! With plastic bags and umbrellas to keep everything as dry as possible Chelsea and Randall braved the elements on a cold December day. The cloud cover gave us some fantastic light. Here is the final result.

If you want a photographer on short notice …

From this experience I learned that if you want a photographer on short notice don’t leave an out of country phone number to be reached on. :) It took me over an hour just to get my phone to be able to call out of the country to contact the patiently waiting Richard and Anna. I can’t blame them for using his cell as a contact … it is what I would have done but who would have known it would take me over an hour on cell phone tech support for it to be up and running! I couldn’t believe how difficult cell phone companies make it. Then again I will be grateful the next time someone from the Czech republic steals my cell phone and decides to make like E.T. It was Wednesday morning and I was actually on a date with Dani at the time when an odd number called me. I didn’t answer nor would I unless it was the kid sitter since I was busy wooing and romancing over sandwiches at a local bread shop. Love the bread for sure … though I couldn’t find a web site that last link is the best I could come up with – hope someone enjoys it. :)

OK so anyway … I check my messages and Richard from England called and asked if we could photograph his wedding this afternoon! WOW. I had an engagement shoot scheduled but Cosette was free so she was on the job. I showed up to meet him and his beautiful bride to be … by the way “court house” in downtown phoenix means very little I found out. There are at least 12 I think! Funny thing is Richard and Anna found out the hard way as well. Lots of running …

As it turns out they contacted the talented Jeff Calbom with Anderson Image. Jeff was booked and sent him our way. Thank you sir! You missed out on a spur of the moment fun couple. We’ll take them! :D

While Jonathans away Lia will play …

Jon is currently serving faithfully in Iraq and they will be getting married near the end of this year. I thought … “Hey why don’t we do a little photo shoot just for Jon.” Lia said … “Heck yeah! Just don’t let it take away from Nip/Tuck.” or something of that nature. :D So here are a few images of the playful Lia! Thanks for your service Jon! I would say she is pretty excited for your safe return.
