I recently traveled to Taiwan to photograph and video (a new experience for me!) an adoption of a sweet child named LiErh. I was able to travel with her parents Shawn and Paula for about a week and capture their journey. The whole story is several hundred photographs long but I will share a few of the moments here. We have a video/photo slide show to post which I hope to have up this week but for now I wanted to share the excitement with a few still images. I feel like I am just teasing you with four images, but here goes. 
Now for a bit of a narrative. This was a brand new experience for me. (And them too for that matter.) I have never spent an entire week documenting a subject. This was incredible. A spiritual experience for me for sure. I really enjoyed being able to watch the anticipation of this couple grow as they waited and their joy as they received her. I hope to do it again but commitments and opportunities permitting I am up for it. This was extremely exhausting but well worth the effort. I was excited to return to my wonderful family and share with them the joy I felt.
