Cassie and a little urban …

It’s been a little while since we did this shoot but I wanted to show off some images and design work for a recent High School Senior.  Cassie did absolutely stunning and though she is used to being on the back side of a camera she definitely shined in front of the camera.  Cassie has assisted on a photo shoot with us before and fell in love with the style of photography that we offer.  She and her mother commissioned us to shoot her images and design her graduation announcements as 5×7 press printed cards.  We printed the images on a pearl finish paper that gave it a beautiful almost metallic feel to the finish.

Front Cover:

Front side of the card.

The inside opening of the card was changed only to remove Cassie’s last name.  :)   So imagine the centering of her first and last name in the year.  It looks pretty nice!

Inside spread once card is opened.

The back of the card.

Watch out world here she comes! :) You’ll do just fine Cassie!

Jim and Charisse’s Album …

Dani finished yet another great album.  The album was designed as a Linen 12×12 and I love the imagery and how the story was told.  The album can be found at by clicking here.  Enjoy!

Well, it is that time of year again when the extremely talented high school senior young women from across the state come together and compete for the coveted title of Arizona’s Jr. Miss. This is a short segment we put together with this years group. Enjoy…

Anthony and Robyn … Timeless!

Anthony and Robyn commissioned us to do a digital painting from their wedding photographs that we captured earlier this week.  We selected a few that we thought would be perfect.  They loved it and decided to go with it as a 24×36.  The original photograph was taken by me. Dani used the image and digitally recreated it to appear as an oil painting on canvas.  I printed the image on canvas media and we had it quickly stretched and framed (thank you Mike at Twin Knolls Picture Framing 480-986-4451) just in time to have it on display for the reception tonight.  Anthony and Robyn will later have it custom framed to match their decor but it was stunning.

I have attempted for the fist time to show one of our commissioned paintings on the website.  I am unsure how well this will show up since texture and clarity isn’t easy at low resolutions. But without further ado …

This is the full size image to show content:

Full image.

This is a detail crop to show some texture and character:

Cropped for detail.

The detail is much easier to see and admire in print.  One thing about the painting is that it furthers the timeless nature of the photographs we take.  This image as a painting makes it even more elegant. I am excited for them to have this beautiful piece to hang in their home.

Pat and Mandy!

Pat and Mandy were married on March 31st! (Edited to correct my mistake! :) )  It was a perfectly intimate wedding with lots of joy and emotion. They were married at Regency Garden in Mesa. Here is one image from the ceremony that shows the beautiful garden as well as the intimacy of the event.  I believe the event was attended by about 50 of their closest friends and family.

Ceremony

Pat and Mandy have some of the friendliest friends and family. Probably half of them had soothing southern accent that you can’t help but adore! :)

After the reception and all the fun and dancing we used the best light of the day to finish the festivities off with the Bride and Groom session. The light and sky were just awesome! We did the scheduling quite unique but I fell in love with much of the imagery we captured when I first saw it displayed. Thank you Pat and Mandy for being so into our style and trusting what we do.

Here are just two images of MANY that I had so much fun with.  This Red Wall series has so many fun images in the full gallery that I struggled to pick one.  But I won’t give away the secret of where this contrasty wall resides! It’s my secret. (Edited to add that Cosette shot this … guess I was just jeleous as I thought it was an awesome image! Yeah Cosette … I love it when she shoots images that make me jeleous! :) )

Around Regency

This second one happened as perhaps the last shot or so. I really love the feel … the feeling of a closing of a long day and the joy in each other they have. I love the emotion.

Sunset Exit

Sorry for being stingy on the images from this lovely event … Cosette had some killer images as well – maybe she can log in and share her favorites! :)   So many to view and so little space to show off!
