If you want a photographer on short notice …

From this experience I learned that if you want a photographer on short notice don’t leave an out of country phone number to be reached on. :) It took me over an hour just to get my phone to be able to call out of the country to contact the patiently waiting Richard and Anna. I can’t blame them for using his cell as a contact … it is what I would have done but who would have known it would take me over an hour on cell phone tech support for it to be up and running! I couldn’t believe how difficult cell phone companies make it. Then again I will be grateful the next time someone from the Czech republic steals my cell phone and decides to make like E.T. It was Wednesday morning and I was actually on a date with Dani at the time when an odd number called me. I didn’t answer nor would I unless it was the kid sitter since I was busy wooing and romancing over sandwiches at a local bread shop. Love the bread for sure … though I couldn’t find a web site that last link is the best I could come up with – hope someone enjoys it. :)

OK so anyway … I check my messages and Richard from England called and asked if we could photograph his wedding this afternoon! WOW. I had an engagement shoot scheduled but Cosette was free so she was on the job. I showed up to meet him and his beautiful bride to be … by the way “court house” in downtown phoenix means very little I found out. There are at least 12 I think! Funny thing is Richard and Anna found out the hard way as well. Lots of running …

As it turns out they contacted the talented Jeff Calbom with Anderson Image. Jeff was booked and sent him our way. Thank you sir! You missed out on a spur of the moment fun couple. We’ll take them! :D

While Jonathans away Lia will play …

Jon is currently serving faithfully in Iraq and they will be getting married near the end of this year. I thought … “Hey why don’t we do a little photo shoot just for Jon.” Lia said … “Heck yeah! Just don’t let it take away from Nip/Tuck.” or something of that nature. :D So here are a few images of the playful Lia! Thanks for your service Jon! I would say she is pretty excited for your safe return.

Home grown …

I have a great time doing what I do for a living. If I didn’t, I think I would figure out another way to be gainfully employed. Professional puppeteer perhaps … I hear Kevin Clash has done quite well. Well anyway … I have a great time shooting people and other various objects for a living. Perhaps my most challenging (none of my silly antics work) subjects and yet the cutest, are home grown. My wife did a pretty good job cooking these subjects up. For her well being I think we are going to outsource the production of any more to Taiwan, China, or perhaps Ethiopia. Some of the best things are made overseas. :D Stay away from anything plastic though as it may contain traces of lead … then again just don’t eat anything that wasn’t created for the purpose of being eaten. That should be a fridge magnet. Back to my intended post … my favorite subjects live under my roof and it would appear Dani is the one documenting them most. I loved this shot of my little girl!

Stephen and Jennifer …

Cosette and Jacque were grabbing the moments of Stephen and Jennifer’s day. Here are a few of those images.

Cigars seem to be the new thing at weddings … the question I have is … how big a flame do you really need to light one? Will somebody bring the blow torch next time!

Cosette and Jacque had fun with Jennifer and Stephen both. I appreciated Jeniffer’s comments as feedback! She said, “The pictures online look wonderful, we can’t wait to get the book as well as some big ones up on the wall! Thank you so much, it was a great experience.”
