Serendiputousness …

We started out at the Mesa Temple … as mentioned in the previous post this shoot was rescheduled due to rain. By a fortunate twist of the wedding being over and the honeymoon in the rear-view the bride and groom were just as comfortable at Tempe Town Lake as any other place so we figured “Hey … what do we have to lose? So the dress gets a little dirty …” It is the last time it will be worn … by happenchance we had a quick session at the Temple and a quick session at the Lake … here is a sneak peak.

A little water never …

As a child I was never super fond of water … strange since living in a desert seems to make one ever so appreciative. I really do believe it is a pretty cool thing for rain on a wedding day and thanks to professional equipment I am generally able to keep photographing while in it. I have learned to love it. Granted I am glad it doesn’t happen all the time but it creates some super unique and dramatic imagery. On this day we faced a few obstacles … it was wet AND cold. Mary wasn’t too excited to continue as it isn’t supposed to be cold or wet in Arizona!!! She has been living in Manhattan for the past few years and it isn’t cold here compared to that icicle of a city. It was uncomfortable for sure so we started talking about alternative times for a shoot. As it turns out … thanks to an incredible couple who were willing to be SUPER nice I rescheduled their engagement session and scheduled Mary and Matt for the following Saturday. Happiness abounds thanks to a little goodwill. I will give a sneak peak of a couple of shots we were able to grab before the chill got deeper.

Cosette captured this last shot and I loved it! Brilliant!

The week of headshots … and Jr Miss 2008

This week seemed to be the week of headshots. From Christian needing quick yearbook photo’s, to the NPTSC (won’t be posting any of these just in case there are any national security issues :) ), and the 2008 girls of Jr Miss. Though we don’t really advertise our studio work (we don’t turn it away either), we can hold our own with it for sure … here are a few headshots and a few event shots from this week.

Christian 2008!

Poor Christian gets mixed in with the Jr. Miss 2008 girls … not bad company for a guy his age … but it was more to illustrate that we have been busy with headshots this week.

Pucker up?

Nice!

Truly Elegant!

This is what Jr. Miss is all about … a group of stellar girls who are definitely unique showing self expression! Hamming it up for the camera or not … Gotta love it.

Hair Al natural!

Randomly Getting Dirty …

Multiple locations … mostly on a whim with a little history. Travis and Ashley had a fun story to tell about the Hall of Flame and a connection to childhood and his parents. Every other location that day was mostly sporadic and fun … fish out of water. Just a few samples:

Hall of Flame

Ashley was awesome … this was cold … really cold. I was excited that she was so eager to play and have fun in spite of the chill. :)
