Oh the joys of boys. Paul and Lisa couldn’t have a girl if the world depended on it … granted at this point perhaps it would scare them to raise anything else but boys so it’s a good thing another boy is coming. 
Each year we get to photograph the bunch and we look forward to it. This year was especially fun because we took a more casual approach to the family shots. Here are just a few from the family session:

Colby and Brody let us know who was in control … . Sometimes with small kids and all the enjoy that they enjoy comes the joy of letting them be themselves at photo shoots. You have to roll with their personalities and enjoy. They are only this age once so we had a blast and came up with some crazy cute images … the ones that made the Christmas Card were adorable … granted we aren’t showing any cards until after Christmas so as not to ruin any surprises. I first met Lauren and Justin in a parking lot. How they found us is an interesting story but basically my newest child set that one up. Lauren, Justin and I got to know each other while on photo shoots … a few days before the wedding we photographed them in a mini-e session. Then the wedding day came quickly. The one thing I noticed about them was the comfortable, casual conversation that occurred between us and the two of them. That relaxed atmosphere made for a very at ease wedding where not a moment seemed rushed. As for a flow of a wedding day that is the feel I would recommend. Just relax and enjoy … and with that … here are just a few of our favorites:

I had been warned that if I stepped outside my little circle the ninjas would get me. Suddenly, I was pulled my from my bleak future and was on my way to freedom. Just when I though I was free, the ninja, with her beating stick, forced me back into the circle, where I was to remain forever (at least until the end of the photoshoot). Well, the Cabrera’s only become more fun each year. Here are a few fun ones from their family shoot.
