The Build-a-Photo Factory

Being time for Taylor’s 9 month portrait session I picked out an outfit to capture him in the woods when we went camping for the 4th.  The problem was that I spotted a shirt of Lanes that would look so good in the mountains too, and matched Taylor’s.  And then there were Lauren’s new boots.  With such a patriotic display that I had going we naturally tracked down where Cosette was camping and asked her to do a family picture for us.

My biggest excitement came from getting an AWESOME picture of all 3 of my children together.  I’m in love with it.  Of course it didn’t all happen at once.  This is how we do it.  Lane looks good in picture 5, Lauren in picture 8, and Taylor in picture 9.  A little cut and paste and a lot of know how and Voila!  And then there is the family picture.  It is a little obvious that Lane is all over the place (which I’m so glad Cosette caught his personality like that), but while the 4 of us on the left all looked good in one shot, I grabbed my favorite of Lane and a little cut and paste and a lot of know how and Perfecto!

Can I tell you how much I love our team!  We have the best selection of talented people who are great to have around with their wonderful personalities.  Oh, and by the way, if you want pictures like that, you don’t even have to wait until one of our photographers are on vacation, you just take them with you.  And if any of you need pictures in Italy, or Ireland, or… I will be happy to volunteer.

This was an amazing camping spot at Black Canyon Lake between Payson and Heber.  We will be taking our family back some time.

Note to self … no leather soled boots

Eric was born in New York. You would never know it by the boots he had on. More cowboy then I have ever attempted to be. :) As we climbed on a few rocks he said that leather soled boots are a bad idea for the occasion. I thought I would post it to the world. Think twice about your shoe selection before a photo shoot. You might have to climb some crazy areas. Allison did a great job laughing along with him at the shoot while keeping us both in line. Here are a few images from a more desert landscape feel. Enjoy …

A & L Deseret Aesthetics Med Spa Open House

We were excited to photograph the open house of the A & L Deseret Aesthetics Medical Spa in Mesa Arizona. They just expanded their offices and wanted to showcase some of the fabulous treatments they offer as well as promote their Shun the Sun run event which is to bring awareness to skin cancer. At the open house they demonstrated Spider Vein removal treatments, chemical peels, massage, and more. Some members of our team have even had various treatments done at the spa. We highly recommend their staff and the treatments. It’s a great place to get some work done before a wedding or family photos. Here are a few images from the event …

Remembering how fun weddings are

If you follow our blog, you know that any posts by me are baby posts these days.  But, a good wedding is always so refreshing.  Jamie and Jonathon gave me the opportunity to express myself creatively at their portrait session.  I then got to shoot their wedding day with Cosette, who, if you follow our blog, is one super photographer – not to mention, a blast to shoot with.  So, as this doesn’t happen often, I was so grateful for Jamie and Jonathon’s great chemistry and good humor.  Check out my favorites:

It’s a small world after all…

Aaron and Laura and I decided to battle the heat one hot June day and just “happened” to get some pretty fantastic images at the same time.  We were in, out, and done before we knew it and BAM I was completely happy with the way the pictures turned out (please refer to the last picture in this post…totally hot and romantic!)  Long story short, I asked them how they met – Laura was NOT interested in Aaron at all and he could not figure out why…I was laughing.  Aaron talked about how he was involved in Drumline and suddenly I realized why he looked familiar!  He student taught with MY marching band!  Obviously he didn’t remember me but I remembered all the girls crushing on him.  I know, I sound like a creeper remembering things like that but hey, when I know my clients I know my clients :)

Inside joke…don’t ask!  :)

They were trying to run away from me…
