I dedicate this page to the many emails and comments we get from everyone we work with. I thought it would be nice to document the comments as they come in. I am not sure how far back I will go or how long I will let this page get … but for now bear with me as it is a bit more like an experiment.
And yes … this is us promoting us through the words of others!
But at least I am not making any of this up or putting in family members quotes or anything.
This is the real deal … straight from your emails or mouths. If you want to add anything let me know. If I have misquoted anyone let me know as well.
I just have to thank you for the way that you dealt with — and diffused — what could have become a very ugly situation at a recent wedding photo shoot.
I have been to so many weddings where ex’s caused difficulties in who stood where and who got to be photographed with who. So often in those situations, the photographer stops and attempts to cajole and manipulate people to make the photo work. Ultimately this becomes a war of wills. Nobody wins and the day is marred by ill feelings that have been given the fuel needed to ignite and potentially ruin what should be a beautiful occasion.
Not you. You simply diffused the situation by not acknowledging the difficulty and transitioning to a different shot. By not attempting to make a difficult situation work, but instead going on to the next shot, you did not allow the feuding parties an opportunity to ruin the photo shoot. There was nothing for them to do, but step aside and allow you to move on.
You did an absolutely FANTASTIC job of keeping things going smoothly.
The lucky couple will have a slew of beautiful photos to choose from and no nasty memories to associate with them.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

From the Mother of the Bride,
I have been meaning to write you this note for some time now, but life gets in the way. Becky & Matt chose you & Jared to film & photograph their wedding day. Remember the first meeting Matt, when I almost fell off my chair at the price? It was late to begin with & we kept you for another couple of hours. I want to thank you for the patience you showed us and the restraint you used in not saying, “welcome to the nineties Mr. Banks”. I know we could of found other photographers that would of done a “decent” job for less $$, but Becky & Matt had their heart set on you. So I reluctantly said okay, let’s do it. My first impression was “I like this guy, but man he is expensive”. You worked & worked with us to get us 2 photographers & the entire day & also worked & worked to get us Jared, the videographer.
You kept in touch throughout the entire process with Becky & answered emails quickly. You made it fun. The wedding day, you brought your peeps with you and made it fun and set my mind at ease regarding the almost rainy day. You and your staff were awesome and I so enjoyed you all being there. You got involved and had fun.
I began going on your web site checking out the blogs. I found some amazing stuff, funny & heartfelt blog entries, pictures and videos. I gained even more respect for you and Jared and your obvious talent and compassion. I especially was impressed by the video of the birth of your son (born on my birthday by the way) and when you went oversees for the adoption of a child from China. That was so awesome & touching. I believe you handle each & every job you take on as if it were your own. I know we felt special. Not everyone can do that.
So when I saw the pictures and the video I was, to say the least, so very pleased. I had the same thought I had the day of the wedding after all was said & done, “beautiful and worth every penny”. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. There are a lot of photographers out there & a lot of horror stories. Thank you for all you did for us, making this day last a lifetime and for being the upstanding and remarkably talented people that you are. You are just good, down to earth people who treat others right. I have seen the photo of your daughter that your wife took on the blog entries. That is a great picture! You and your wife are blessed with a remarkable talent, beautiful kids and a flourishing business. What more could you ask for? God Bless you and your family, your business and your staff.
Please let Jared know I feel exactly the same about him. He is remarkable how he can pick the songs that fit precisely right to the videos. His work tugs at your heart and the tears start to roll. I know his wife has a hand in one of their videos as Becky stated she picked one of the songs for one of the videos. You & Jared are truly blessed with wives that enhance your work. You are not just photographers or video guys, your awesome human beings that tell stories in the most beautiful ways. God Bless you all.
Becky knew what she wanted. She planned & envisioned the entire day & she knew whom she wanted to preserve her memories. She has great taste & knows how to pick em!
Sincerely,
Kerry LaBarbera

Matt,
Seems like I have hardly had a spare minute since the wedding to express my appreciation to you and Kendra for the fantastic job you guys did at telling Jessica and Scott’s wedding story. Beautiful images beautifully composed and shot – thank you so much! You really captured the day and made everything look better than we thought possible in that unusual setting. All of us are thrilled with the results.
You are also getting rave reviews from family and friends – I hope you get some business from the locals and some web orders … we’re still giving out cards!
I am so glad we had the extra hour and did the pre-wedding shoot [Matt notes - (we did the bride and groom session the Monday before the wedding) If you are asking yourself why ... don't. Just ask us. - End Matt note!
] – thank you for those suggestions. And a HUGE thanks for the display prints – we gave them to family and they were so surprised and pleased. Now I have to order some big ones for myself
I wish you the very best as you continue to grow your business. Besides your artistry, you obviously operate your business with high ethics, fast and complete responses, and professionalism – something that is refreshing. I have heard many “wedding photo horror stories” and we have none to tell!
Again, thanks for all you did – we have great memories through your art. …
Thanks again, Matt. I’m glad we found you! All the best to you and your family – …
