While it’s true that most engaged couples have a lot on their plate when it comes to planning a wedding, it’s safe to say that Grace and Anthony really have their work cut out for them. In addition to running their own business and seeing to each and every detail of their wedding, they also have eight (yes, you read that right, kids to raise ranging in age from one to 21.

It balances out quite nicely though as three our hers, three our his and two are theirs. And if you ask Grace & Anthony, they wouldn’t have it any other way. Their true happiness was obvious too evidenced by their ability to be all smiles during their entire engagement shoot even though it was 108 degrees and about 30 percent humidity. Can you say TROOPERS?

With all that going on in their lives at least it should be a no- brainier for either of them to remember their wedding anniversary as they get set to exchange vows next month on 10-10-10. What date could possibly be better than that for a family of 10?!!

A day in the park

Toccara and Ron had to reschedule their engagement shoot due to some unforeseen monsoons. You have to love Arizona for that. But at last we picked a day full of sun and fun. The shoot went great although there was a small aunt attack on the bride to be. Thanks for being a good sport about that. Here are a few of my favorite images.

I love you Rain or … LOTS of RAIN!

Travis and Priscilla were married. And now they should make it a point to buy a lotto ticket every year because in all the years we have been shooting weddings we have only seen a ceremony rained out twice theirs being the 2nd time. Seriously we have seen some close calls. Drops of rain during a ceremony is no big deal. But Travis and Priscilla had the kind of rain that basically soaks you head to toe in a matter of a minute or two. In Arizona you can’t have any better luck in my opinion. Rain is so rare here that we get less then 10 inches a year and they had to have had an inch all just for them. I say let the rain be a sign that you have some sweet luck and love …

Besides how much luck to you need with socks like those sported by the groomsmen … just sayin.

The ceremony was moved inside and made for some great shots that will be unique only to them. Here are a few shots from the day …

Trudy and Kelly have a few kids. Only one isn’t married yet so when they asked us to photograph their family we realized that it was more then just a few shots. … I know know every family is represented on this blog post but here are a few of the images Jacque and I shot of this incredibly happy and funny family … oh and as a note this was shot on the location where the Gilbert Arizona LDS Temple will be built.

Patrick and Fay are one of those couples with a great story. They have known each other since grade school. So when they said they wanted to have their engagement photos taken at their old elementary school I was game. It’s always cool to shoot a new place especially when it is special to the Bride and Groom. We got some really cool stuff but here are a few of my favorites.

Nursing a Mexican Coke.

Laura and Shane had a fun shoot with me recently where I climbed a tree, they climbed a tree, and we all climbed trees together. All the while Shane who swears he doesn’t drink a lot of soda was finishing his 2nd bottle of cold Mexican coke (not pictured here). He loves the stuff. What is the difference you may ask? The Mexican variety of Coke is house in a sexy glass bottle as well and much more importantly is made with pure cane sugar as opposed the the American version made with high fructose corn syrup. I can’t say that I can taste the difference but I do know that those who love Coke usually prefer the imported kind from south of the border. Shane will tell you to keep the border open as long as he can get some lovin’ from Coke … oh and I could tell he appreciates the love from Laura too!

Getting a laugh

One thing that I love about shooting is that every couple and shoot is different. Many times we are in the same locations but personalities and chemistry always changes. JoAnn was cracking me up because in order to get her to give me just a little more smile I had to pull out a few extra stops. She either thought that I was the funniest guy in the world or perhaps the strangest but it turned out well. Jason just kept laughing at how much I was making her laugh. Such a fun time. I am so excited for this. It seems like it was just yesterday Matt and I shot Kurt and Shanna’s wedding together. Now they have a boy on the way any day now. Yes, yes, I know she only looks half way there, but you should be seeing newborn pics soon. Doesn’t she make you so jealous? I had so much fun on this shoot. Their chemistry is still so hot after all this time that the mama couldn’t take it anymore, she saw water at the end and obliged herslef to play. I wasn’t going to say no, they were great shots!

Matt and Mary met at Disneyland. No they weren’t feeling butterflies riding the tea cups or fighting the Evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear. He was her boss. I am not sure if she said yes because he is adorable or because she was trying to climb the ladder but this cute couple are making it official.
